Great value for money. Clean. Rooms were very well appointed

The staff were ran off their feet and therefore could not provide a good service. The karaoke in the bar on Tuesday night I could have done without. Two loudmouthed vulgar presenters. This presents a poor image of Ireland.

  • Family with children

view from the hotel, helpful and attentive staff

  • Group of friends

The staff and management could not have been more accomodating and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay again some time. Full marks!

    The rooms were slightly stuffy

  • Couple

loved how close it was to the beach , such a lovely view.

    no complaints whatsoever .

  • Older travelers

the staff were excellent ,from the receptionist on checking in to when we make enquiries about areas to visit during our stay The bar staff were very friendly and restaurant staff especially philip took great care with us , no rush and lots of information about the dishes a lot of hotels could learn about customer service from this team. the location was really on the beach and quite accessible to dublin by car. the room was perfect with a seaview and the entertainment ,especially the kareoke guy was great , the restaurant was excellent with a great emphasis on fish. will definetly be back. Well Done

nothing only 3 nights too short

  • Older travelers

comfortable clean room with a lovely sea view.

the bar was not very comfortable

  • Family with children

Very spacious room. Friendly front desk and great location right on the beach.

The shower head was broken but other than that the stay was great would go back

Staff and location. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with warm hospitality not to be underrated. We got in on a late flight and were picked up promptly from the airport. Upon arrival at the hotel, even though the restaurant was long closed, the manager made us delicious soup, wraps and paninis himself. The location is stunning, right on the water. The views and the staff are the hotel's best features.

The bed and the breakfast. This is a good hotel and just a few small changes would make it great. The bed in our room was a queen, but it was a little old with a mattress that sagged in the middle. The other furnishings in the room were suitable, but in need of updating. Considering the decent size and great sea view from the room, the tired and dated furniture let the room down. The breakfast was also below par - neither of the dishes we tried were very substantial for the price (€12.95 for Full Irish) and the Eggs Benedict (or should I say 'egg', singular, with barely a drizzle of hollandaise) was oddly served with rubbery bacon on a hamburger bun instead of an English muffin. The importance of a good breakfast has clearly been overlooked. If they raised the bar just a little, this would be a fantastic place to stay.

Beautiful location & hotel, the hotel was overbooked so we got a free upgrade to the bridal suite amazing, thank u mr slattery, we will be back very very soon

As I mentioned the main reason for the stay was a quick getaway for myself and my partner and for the surrounding of the beech etc...We enjoyed the location very much and I have to say the Bar staff where very nice, pleasent and very helpful with finding out and recommending place for us to go.

Overall i didn't think my stay was as good as it could have been. I am not very hard to please at all. However there where a couple of annoying factors. One, I specifically asked when booking could I have a room with a view of the sea.beech which was my main reason for the getaway. I rang after booking also and was told that this would be no problem, yet we got a room facing out onto the roof where we could hear kitchen staff talking and swearing out the back. the fact they where smoking would not even really bother me. Secondly and also very annoying was when people get away they obviously like to relax and sleep on, especially myself and my partener as we have a young child and would not always get the chance. However the cleaning staff the follwoing morning where very load and shouting at each other in a foreign language. This waht well before the check out time also and was roughly about 9am onwards..At one stage I actually had to go out and ask them to keep the noise down. The only reason I mention they where talking in foreign language is to prove my point as I am sure you are aware of your staff. Thirdly and which I found very rich was the fact the kettle in the room was broke and when I wnet down and infored the hotel reception of this and asked where would it be possible to get a cup of tea the reply i got was and i quote "in the hotel bar but you would have to pay for it i'm afraid" I couldn't understand how the service you where meant to provide was not there, as small as it may sound, a kettle for a cup of tea but to be told i'd have to then pay for it i found really annoying. I don't get away very often due to financial restraints like everyone else. I brought my partner away for a break as we have a young child and don't get a break often so you could imagine how dissapointing these things where, especially the noise of the staff in the morning.

  • Older travelers

During my stay myself and my wife found the hotel to be very nice the staff were excellent and the rooms were very clean.

  • Older travelers

the restaurant had a good deal going and food v nice

room was suppose to be deluxe very small basic no kettle in room or remote for tv rang rec and housekeeping for about 1 hour on and of in end had to go down to recep

  • Family with children

the staff were very nice and chatty. the food was lovely. the rooms were clean.

we could not check in untl after 5 but we got a 1.30 check out. we had children with us and there is nothing at all for kids to do in the hotel, not even play pool. there is a beach outside the door and we went for walks but felt we should be in our room while in the hotel.

  • Couple

the back door would not open and there was no window that opeened it was very stuffy

  • Older travelers

had to be the siting of the hotel, right on the beach

our room, would have preferred a beach view room, but as we booked the hotel so late,we were grateful to get a room
